A Day for Remembering Heroes

Today is Memorial Day, and that means honoring our heroes, so here is my pic of me being a hero.

That was all done in fun, and Mommy liked givin' me a cape, but please remember that today is REALLY all about the real heroes who fight wars and stuff for us, and sometimes go on to the Rainbow Bridge because of it.

Today at 3:00, there will be a special moment of silence. If you don't know when that is 'cause you aren't so good at telling time yet, that's okay. Just try to do something special today for all the heroes you've known in your life, human and feline.

  1. I know how to tell time: nap time, snuggle time, bird watching time, food time, and all that. I don't know where 3:00pm is, but I'll make Mom help with that.
Fanks for everything this weekend when I was feeling sick.

  10. That's a great graphic! :)

In Canada, we honour those who gave their lives for our freedoms, as well as those who served and who continue to serve, on Remembrance Day, November 11th. We all stop for a minute of silence at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. It's an important day for us, since our dad is a serving officer in the Canadian Forces, and our dad's grandfather is a WWII veteran (and still alive in his 90s, unlike many of his friends who died in the war.)
